Isaiah Rashad- The House Is Burning (July 30)
I don’t really know what Chattanooga, Tennessee’s sound is, but I definitely wasn’t expecting the blend of RnB/California Hip Hop to be the outcome. I really love Isaiah Rashad’s voice and flow in pair with the great production on this album. His music has such a positive and calming energy and vibe. My top 5 on the album are Claymore ft Smino (side note: I really like anything that Smino is in, so this is my favorite song on the project), True Story ft Jay Rock & Jay Worthy (I really like the production in this song, it’s a nice stuck in traffic trying not to let my road rage come out vibe), Headshots (4 Da Locals) ft Duke Duce, Wat U Sed ft Iamdoechii & Kal Banx, and Score ft SZA & 6lack (honorable mention to THIB).
(Honorable Mention) Young Dolph & Paper Route Empire- PAPER ROUTE iLLUMINATi
Top 3: Mister Glock, South Memphis Rugrats (Remix), I Do This
The Kid Laroi- F*ck Love 3: Over You (July 23)
The Kid Laroi is hella talented for a 17 year old. Again, this is an artist that I haven’t listened to much, but I really like his sound. Lil Bibby definitely has a crazy ability to discover new talent. My top 5 on the album are DON’T LEAVE ME ft G Herbo and Lil Durk, LONELY AND F*CKED UP, SO DONE, TRAGIC ft Youngboy Never Broke Again and Internet Money, GO with Juice Wrld, NOT SOBER ft Polo G and Stunna Gambino (also Stay ft Justin Bieber).
